MSM stocks continued its gains for the second consecutive day and MSM30 benchmark index closed with a gain of 0.45% at 6531.31 points.

MSM stocks continued its gains for the second consecutive day and MSM30 benchmark index closed with a gain of 0.45% at 6531.31 points. At the session close, Al Anwar Holding remained as the most active in terms of volume while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover. The top gainer for today was Jazeera Steel Product while the top loser was Sohar Power. Shares of Bank Muscat continued its gain for the second consecutive session. Galfar Engineering continued to witness downward movement while cement sector stocks witnessed gains.

MSM stocks bucked the broader regional sentiments today and the prices moved southwards on relatively low volumes. At the end of the session, MSM30 benchmark index closed down by 0.49% at 6482.72 points. At the session close, Bank Muscat continued to remain as the most active in terms of volume as well as turnover. Shares of Bank Muscat witnessed declined today ending its five day rally.
