Negative regional cues caused the MSM30 index to end on a downward note today. MSM30 benchmark index settled at 6806.79 points, losing 0.20% from the previous close. At the session close, Al Anwar Ceramic was the most active in terms of volume and closed with gain of 0.96%. Raysut Cement was the most active in terms of turnover and settled at RO 1.469, up by 0.96%.

Negative regional cues caused the MSM30 index to end on a downward note today. MSM30 benchmark index settled at 6806.79 points, losing 0.20% from the previous close. At the session close, Al Anwar Ceramic was the most active in terms of volume and closed with gain of 0.96%. Raysut Cement was the most active in terms of turnover and settled at RO 1.469, up by 0.96%. The top gainer of the day, A Saffa Foods rallied 7.94% to close at RO 0.272 while Dhofar Power rallied 6.25% to stand next. Banking sector stocks such as Bank Sohar and National Bank of Oman closed with gains while the rest declined. Jazeera Steel Product ended on a negative note after it announced its first quarter results for 2010 while Oman Cables closed with gains in share price.
